The mission of the Georgia Tech Applied Research Corporation (GTARC) is to provide efficient and effective contracting, grant, and research administration services for the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), a business segment of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) that is focused on applied research and development.
GTRI is the largest research entity at Georgia Tech and has developed a reputation as one of the world's premier university-based applied research and development organizations. Today, GTRI has over 21 locations in the U.S. and Ireland, employs nearly 1600 highly skilled people, and conducts more than $200 million in government and industry sponsored research each year.
GTARC, a Cooperative Organization for the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and serves as the contracting entity for GTRI.
